These features are all free to Vortel customers. You can control most of them on the Vortel Dashboard. If you're already a Vortel user, simply log in to review and manage your settings.

Voicemail online, Via email and by Telephone

If you set your account to receive voicemail, then unanswered calls to your number will be recorded and sent to the email address you specify in the Vortel Dashboard. The message will be converted into a .wav file and attached to the email message. So no matter where you are, you can instantly receive voice messages and listen to them anywhere on the Web. You can control your voicemail settings online via the Vortel Dashboard, and you can also access your voicemail from your Vortel telephone.

Call Forwarding

You can forward calls under conditions you specify in the Vortel Dashboard (at all times, when busy, etc.) If you dont want to miss a call, you can forward to one number.

Call Lists

Various call lists are available on the Vortel Dashboard. You can list calls you have dialled and calls you have received. (later) or all missed calls.

Free calls within Vortel

All calls to other Vortel users are free. That's because they never leave the Internet and enter the expensive telephone networks. However, such calls are tracked in your call log, and the same features such as voicemail, etc. apply. The only difference is that it won't cost a thing, except what you're already paying for an Internet connection. So it makes sense to invite everyone you know to become Vortel users too.

Take Vortel along

Unlike your regular phone service and number, you can take Vortel along wherever you have access to a broadband connection.  Simply plug the Vortel adapter or your broadband phone behind the broadband connection and be called and make calls on your Vortel number! What's more, if you're in a foreign country, your family and friends back home only pay local charges to reach you. And if they’re Vortel users, they call you absolutely free!

Online Account Management

This is an integral part of the Vortel Dashboard, and allows you to view your account details, your call charges, and your call settings. Here you can also top up your prepaid balance, switch from one plan to another, and purchase additional numbers.
